Saltwater Adventures
Posted onWhen Mr. Hill moved from Ohio to Florida a few years ago, he and his family already had fishing and family water fun at the top of their priority list. Having spent most of their life living near fresh water lakes, the lure of salt water adventures in the gulf and the ocean was undeniable and a new NauticStar was just the right vehicle for a crew that includes Mr. and Mrs. Hill, four children, and Mrs. Hill’s mother.
Their first NauticStar was a 2302 Legacy. While it had a great ride and was a great fishing platform, the desire to venture further out into the Middle Grounds in the Northeastern Gulf of Mexico (and beyond) suggested a twin-engine rig would be more appropriate. This led them to the 2602 Legacy with Twin 150 hp Yamaha outboard motors.
The features of the 2602 go beyond just the bow flair and the reverse chines which provide a smooth, dry ride. Mr. Hill and his family enjoy features such as the placement of the baitwells and fish boxes that do not compromise the seating and comfort of those who just want to relax and enjoy the ride. Of course, having a toilet in the head console is a must have on those longer family adventures. Add in additional features such as stereo system, boarding ladders, a T-Top, and Simrad electronics package and you have everything necessary for the demands of offshore fishing as well as family cruising.
Mr. Hill and family enjoy fishing near John’s Pass near St. Petersburg, Florida, participating in the King of the Beach fishing tournament in Madeira, Florida as well as just cruising wherever their adventure leads. With the 2602 Legacy from NauticStar Boats, a great day on the water is awaiting onboard.
